Hilltop Logging & Excavation works with qualified subcontractors to support storm cleanup, debris operations, access restoration, and related recovery work. This page outlines what we need to evaluate your company for potential deployment. Minimum qualification requirements
- Company details: Legal business name, DBA (if applicable), physical address, and primary point of contact.
- Experience: Relevant work history (storm cleanup, debris removal, land clearing, ROW, forestry, equipment operations).
- Safety: Safety program and the ability to follow site-specific safety rules and reporting requirements.
- Professional conduct: Reliable communication, jobsite accountability, and timely completion of assigned scopes.
- Documentation: W-9 and applicable licenses/registrations required for your operating areas. Provide proof of insurnace
Insurance requirements
Insurance requirements can vary by project, agency, prime contractor, and location. The items below are standard expectations for storm response and public-sector work.
- Certificate of Insurance (COI): Current COI showing policy numbers, effective dates, and limits.
- General Liability: Coverage for property damage and bodily injury (limits may vary by project).
- Workers’ Compensation: Required if you have employees (or provide a valid exemption where applicable).
- Commercial Auto: For any vehicles used for work or hauling.
- Additional insured: Ability to add required parties as additional insured when contractually required.
Equipment & capabilities
Provide a current equipment list and what your crew can perform. Include make/model, year, attachments, and hauling capability.
- Equipment list: Skid steers, excavators, dozers, loaders, mulchers, grapple trucks, dump trucks, trailers, etc.
- Attachments: Grapple, mulching head, buckets, forks, brush cutter, winch, etc.
- Hauling: Truck/trailer details, CDL availability, and typical haul distance capability.
- Crew size: Typical crew size and whether you can scale up during deployments.
- Work types: Debris loading/haul-off, ROW cleanup, tree/limb removal, brush cleanup, equipment support, leaner hanger, cut & conslidate.
Deployment expectations
- Mobilization timeline: How quickly you can deploy after award/notice to proceed.
- Travel capability: In-state, out-of-state, or nationwide availability.
- Daily reporting: Ability to provide basic production updates (hours, equipment, load counts, locations).
- On-site compliance: Ability to follow direction from site supervisors, primes, or agencies when applicable.
- Professional documentation: Ability to provide invoices, timesheets, and supporting documentation as required.
